The Moroccan U-20 national team achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying for the semi-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the second time in its history.
The Atlas Lions continued their impressive run in the 2025 tournament, held in Chile, after topping Group C.
Morocco began their group stage campaign with a 2-0 victory over Spain, followed by a 2-1 win against Brazil in the second round.
They then suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mexico in their final group match.
In the Round of 16, Morocco defeated South Korea 2-1, before cruising past the United States 3-1 in the quarter-finals.
With this victory, the Moroccan team secured a place in the semi-finals alongside France, Argentina, and Colombia.
Morocco will face France in the semi-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup on Wednesday, October 15.
It is worth noting that Morocco previously reached the semi-finals of the tournament in 2005, hosted by the Netherlands, finishing fourth after a 2-1 defeat to Brazil.
