Moroccan Tourism Minister Nadia Fettah Alaoui said that she expects 200,000 Israeli tourists to visit Rabat by 2021.
In a statement to the Israeli TV channel "KAN", Alaoui said: "The number of Israeli tourists who will visit Morocco will double from 50,000 to 200,000 after the launch of direct flights between Rabat and Tel Aviv, in the next 2021."
The Moroccan "Hespress" website reported that next Tuesday, Morocco, and Israel would sign several cooperation agreements.
It is worth mentioning that, a US-Israeli delegation will leave for the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on a direct flight from Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
The delegation will be headed by Jared Kushner, senior advisor to President Trump, and Israeli National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat.
The delegation will also include, White House envoy Avi Berkowitz, International Development Finance Corporation CEO Adam Boehler, and senior Israeli officials from different government ministries.
It is worth mentioning that, earlier this month, US President Donald Trump announced that Morocco’s King Mohamed VI had agreed to normalize relations with Israel in a peace deal brokered by the United States, making the North African nation the fourth Arab country in few months to establish full diplomatic relations with Israel.
“Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco have agreed to full diplomatic relations – a massive breakthrough for peace in the Middle East!” Trump tweeted.
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan recently moved to normalize relations with Israel in deals brokered by Washington.
