More Than 305 Palestinians Injured in Clashes with Israeli Occupation Forces

More than 305 Palestinians were injured in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Seven of the injured are in serious condition.

 

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque squares.

 

Meanwhile, warning sirens sounded after rockets were fired towards the occupied territories.

 

Israel’s channel 12 television stated that 3 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards the settlements in the Gaza Strip.

 

On Sunday, a United Nations spokesman said that the organization’s Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, expressed his belief that Israel must exercise maximum restraint and respect the right to freedom of peaceful assembly,” in light of the high tension in East Jerusalem and in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

 

Spokesman Stephanie Dujarric said in a statement, “The Secretary-General expresses his deep concern over the continuing violence in occupied East Jerusalem, and also over the possible of eviction of Palestinian families from their homes .. He urged Israel to stop the demolition and eviction.

Guterres urged that the status quo at the holy sites be upheld and respected, Dujarric said.
