Monkeypox Cases in Brazil Rise to 76

Brazilian health authorities confirmed that there are 52 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Sao Paulo and 16 other cases in Rio de Janeiro, where they have the largest number of infections since the first case was recorded on June 23, bringing the cases of infection in Brazil to 76 cases, which raises concern in the country.

The Brazilian Ministry of Health indicated that despite the high number of cases, there are no critical cases.

The ministry indicated that there are at least 6 people suspected of being infected with monkeypox, in addition to the confirmed cases.

The first case of monkeypox was recorded in Brazil on June 8,  the first 15 patients had previously traveled to other countries.
