AS Monaco produced an impressive performance to defeat league leaders Paris Saint-Germain 3–1 on Friday night at Parc des Princes in Round 25 of Ligue 1.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 27th minute when midfielder Maghnes Akliouche found the net, giving Monaco an early advantage after a lively start to the match.

The goal boosted the visitors’ confidence as they continued to pressure PSG’s defense throughout the first half.

Monaco extended their lead in the 55th minute through Russian international Aleksandr Golovin, who doubled the advantage with a well-taken finish.

PSG attempted to respond and managed to reduce the deficit in the 71st minute when winger Bradley Barcola scored the hosts’ only goal of the night.

However, Monaco quickly restored their two-goal cushion just two minutes later.

Striker Folarin Balogun sealed the victory in the 73rd minute, finishing off a swift attacking move that effectively ended PSG’s hopes of a comeback.

Despite the defeat, Paris Saint-Germain remain at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with 57 points, while Monaco raised their tally to 37 points to move into seventh place in the table after a significant away victory.
