I felt proud of my country Egypt and my African continent while I was following up the speech of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the president of Egypt and the president of the African Union, in the Japanese city of Ohio.

The President's speech was comprehensive and represented a roadmap or declaration reflecting the continent's ambition for progress and development. He pointed out that Egypt is a meeting and starting point for the markets of Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

The president requested concerned officials to develop the infrastructure of the African countries, and intensify using digital technology. He talked also about the continent's economic aspirations and needs, as it is a promising market for more than 65% of its young population.

He said that Egypt is the gateway of African countries to the world. He continued his support for women and talked about African women and their supporting and leading role with men.

The Emperor of Japan received President El Sisi at the Presidential Palace and it was a wonderful reception.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi also participated in a ceremony to present the award of Doctor "Hideo Noguchi" for outstanding medical works to combat infectious diseases in Africa, in the presence of the Emperor of Japan and senior leaders.

Moreover, he called on the developed countries to assume humanitarian responsibility and provide medical services to all African citizens, provide technological and material support for the advancement of health fields.

Egypt's national and African companies such as the Arab Contractors, El Sewedy Electric, and Cleopatra Group were among the attendees of the giant global companies.

Cleopatra Group, the largest exporter to the Japanese market, marked  during the conference, the 25th anniversary of its penetration to the Japanese market, which exports to the whole world, but imports from Egypt , El Araby  Group , Orascom and Modern Machinery in addition to Egyptian loyal businessmen like engineer Ibrahim El Araby, Chairman of the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council, who announced the establishment of Sumitomo factory in Port Said.

In his strong and influential speech, patriotic businessman Mohamed Abul-Enein reviewed some of the African hopes and aspirations and said that President El Sisi bore the responsibility of realizing the hopes of more than one billion and 200 million Africans, adding that the President presented four giant projects for the advancement of  the continent such as Cairo-Cape Town Highway and Navigation and electrical connection.

He noted that the industrial revolution began in Africa and became the second largest sector in attracting investment and it will become the next major industrial center in the world.

I am impressed that at the end of his speech to the leaders of more than 50 African countries, Abul Enein  invited leaders and heads of the African states to attend the historic opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum next year; it is the largest museum in the world while its inauguration will represent a global event.

The Arab Contractors Company, headed by Eng. Mohsen Salah, has a great historical presence in various cities of the continent, through its mega projects.

El Sewedy Electric and Toyota Tsusho signed a joint development agreement to design and build two solar power plants for energy storage, in the presence of the President of Zambia. This project will be one of the largest energy storage projects in the world!

I express my appreciation to prominent TV host Ahmed Moussa and his crew who had unprecedented coverage of the conference and its activities.
