English media reports have revealed the condition set by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah for remaining with Liverpool until the end of his contract in the summer of 2027, amidst his strained relationship with Liverpool manager Ernie Slot.
The website TeamTalk reported that Liverpool's management will hold a meeting with Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, in the coming days, following the recent dispute between the Egyptian national team captain and Liverpool manager Ernie Slot.
The report added that the meeting between the two parties could determine Salah's future with Liverpool, as the Egyptian star believes he has given enough to the English club to guarantee a starting position, rather than sitting on the bench. It also indicated that the Egyptian star refuses to return to the bench.
The report continued that Liverpool's management will inform Ramy Abbas that they do not intend to allow the Egyptian star to leave Liverpool during the upcoming winter transfer window. They will also reiterate their desire for Salah to remain with the team until the end of his contract in the summer of 2027, or at least until the end of the current season.
The website concluded, "Liverpool's objective in those talks will be simple: to try to convince Ramy Abbas that his client's future should remain at Liverpool, and if not, what do they propose to do to get him out of his contract, which still has 18 months left?"
