Liverpool’s star forward Mohamed Salah is set to return to the squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brighton at Anfield, following a recent dispute with manager Arne Slot.

Reports reveal that a private meeting between Salah and Slot helped ease tensions, marking a positive step toward reconciliation.

Slot addressed the situation during a pre-match press conference, stating, “I met with Mohamed Salah this morning, and the outcome of our discussion will determine how things proceed for tomorrow’s game.”

According to the Daily Mail, the meeting was cordial, with Salah and Slot shaking hands. While the conflict has not been entirely resolved, the encounter ensures Salah will be included in Liverpool’s squad for the Brighton fixture.

Team captain Virgil van Dijk reportedly played a key role in mediating the talks between the manager and the Egyptian star.

The controversy began after Salah was left on the bench for three consecutive matches, including Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Salah expressed frustration, saying, “I have given so much to this club over the years, especially last season, and now I am sitting on the bench without knowing why.”

He also emphasized that he does not bear responsibility for the team’s recent struggles and noted a deterioration in his relationship with Slot, citing a lack of appreciation and respect.

Slot clarified his perspective, noting that the decision to bench Salah in the Champions League match against Inter Milan was a club decision, and he personally communicates directly with players regarding team selection.

“What I need now is a direct conversation with Mohamed Salah. The next time I discuss his situation will be with him personally,” Slot added.

With the dispute addressed, Salah’s return is expected to strengthen Liverpool’s attacking options as they face Brighton in a crucial mid-season Premier League fixture.
