Reports have revealed new details about the injury suffered by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and the expected duration of his absence from Liverpool FC this season.
Salah picked up a muscle injury during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield in the Premier League.
The Egypt captain was forced off in the 57th minute after showing signs of discomfort, prompting head coach Arne Slot to substitute him.
According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are expected to be without Salah for around three weeks while he undergoes a treatment program under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.
This timeline puts the forward in a race against time to be fit for the upcoming clash against Brentford FC, as Liverpool continue their push to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.
The report added that Salah will not rush his return before regaining full fitness, especially with his anticipated involvement with the Egypt national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Ensuring full recovery is currently the top priority for both the player and the club.
