Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedy has signed on to star in the action-comedy film "El Sterling” (The Sterling) from director Hussein El Menbawy.
The project reunites Henedy with "Marei El Brimo" scriptwriter Ihab Blibl and features the veteran star presenting action to his scenes for the first time.
"El Sterling” a significant portion of the film is slated to be shot in Saudi Arabia.
Henedy will be seen next in the star-studded film “Al Gawahergy”.
The film is set to hit the cinemas during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon.
“Al Gawahergy” also stars Mona Zaki, Lebleba, Ahmed El Saadany, Asser Yassin, Reem Moustafa, Tara Emad, and others.

The film witnesses the first collaboration between Henedy and Zaki after 23 years. They last starred together in the 1998 film “Saidi at the American University”.
Henedy, born in February 1965 in the district of Giza, earned his bachelor’s degree from the Cinema Institute in 1991.
He began his career acting in the play “Doctor Za’attar” and in the television series “A’la Asl Dawar,” “Al A’rdahalgy”, and “Al Bakheel wa Ana”.
Henedy is one of the most prominent stars in Egypt and the Middle East in the last 20 years, during which he starred in many popular films including, “Ismailia Rayeh Gay”, “Sa’eedi in the American University”, “Hamam fi Amsterdam”, “Gana El Bian El Taly”, “Askar fi el-muaskar”, “Fool el Seen el Azeem”, “Wesh Egram”, and “Ramadan Mabrouk Abul-Alamein Hamouda”.
