Egyptian superstar Mohamed Hamaki's first-ever North American tour has been postponed. The tour was slated to kick off with a show in Canada on November 24. He will then play one show in New York, Dallas, and Detroit. The tour was set to wrap with a gig in Los Angeles on December 3.

The tour has been postponed in solidarity with Palestine.

The event organizers announced the decision Monday on Instagram with the following statement: “Dear Keme Family, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the postponement of the Hamaki North American Tour, due to the ongoing crisis in Gaza. We are praying for everyone affected,".

"The tour will now take place from February 22 to March 3, 2024, and the exact dates for each state will be announced very soon,".

"We will be reaching out to all ticket holders to offer two options: retain your ticket for the rescheduled date or obtain a full refund. We deeply appreciate your understanding and looking forward to seeing you soon..” the statement concluded.

On October 7, Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.

It said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers. The Israeli military then launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in more than 11,078 deaths, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women, in addition to the injury of 27,490 others, the majority of whom are women and children.

The figure stands at more than 1,200 people in Israel.
