Veteran TV presenter Mofeed Fawzy was transferred to a hospital on Monday after suffering a sudden health deterioration.
The prominent journalist graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, English Department in 1959.
He interviewed many important political, literary, and artistic figures in the Arab world throughout his career.
He is the first to introduce the idea of press television and is best known for hosting several TV programs, most notably "Hadith Al-Madina" (Talk of the Town).
