Real Madrid icon Luka Modric will sign a new deal next week with the Royal club, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano posted on Sunday.
Romano said that Modric will stay with the Los Merengues until 2026, and he will have a final meeting with Florentino Perez next week.
The meeting will be for inking the papers and taking the pictures of the announcement.
Romano added that Modric does not care for how much money he will be offered as he rejected two big proposals to stay with the newly crowned UEFA Champions League.
Last week, Croatia National Football team coach Zlatko Dalic announced the preliminary 26-man squad for Euro 2024, including Real Madrid star, the country's national hero, and captain Luka Modric.
This tournament could be his last major one before retirement from international football.
The 38-year-old Real Madrid midfielder, who possibly to depart by the end of the season, led Croatia to capturing the second-place at the 2018 World Cup, and third place at the 2022 World Cup.
