Iconic Croatian player Luka Modric, finally, renewed his contract with the Royal Club and La Liga giants, Real Madrid, for one season.
The news was highly anticipated by Real Madrid fans due to the loyality and devotion of the Croatian star to the Royal Club which deserves to be ended and crowned at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Real Madrid captain arrived in 2012, and captured 6 Champions Leagues, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 4 Ligas, 2 Copas del Rey and 5 Spanish Super Cups in his 12-year run with the white-shirted team.
Modrić is one of only five players to have won 6 European Cups and has the most titles in the history of our club.
Modrić's popularity reached new level due to his outstanding performance with his country's team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, leading the team to the final of the most iconic football tournament. In addition, he led the team to capture the third place of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the final of the UEFA Nation League in 2023.
