The Women's Singles semi-finals of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup will kick off today, Thursday, at the American University in Cairo.
The tournament will be held from March 7-12 with the participation of 150 players from 35 countries.
Four Egyptian players will participate in today's competition. Malak Ismail and Heidi Adel in the first group. Salma Abdel Maksoud and Amira Qandil are in the second group.
The Egyptian modern pentathlon team includes players from the senior, junior, and youth teams.
The technical staff of the national team includes Raouf Hossam, technical director, Yasser Hefny, technical advisor and sports director, Amr Sayed, technical director of juniors, and Ehab Sayed, technical director of youth.
Egypt has been awarded the right to host the inaugural World Cup qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons.
