Mohamed Salah, captain of Egypt’s national team, emerged as a target for several top Saudi clubs, but reports indicate a move this year is unlikely.
According to English outlet RousingTheKop, Salah remains committed to Liverpool, where his contract runs until summer 2027.
The 33-year-old winger is reportedly happy living in northwest England with his wife and two daughters and has shown no interest in leaving Europe’s top competitions, making a January or summer transfer improbable.
Earlier reports from UAE media suggested a major Saudi club is preparing a lucrative offer to sign Salah, with a potential salary surpassing that of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
The proposed deal could include a three-year contract with an extension option and significant marketing incentives targeting the broader Arab and Asian markets.
Salah currently earns £42 million annually at Liverpool, ranking eighth among the world’s highest-paid footballers, while Ronaldo leads with £228 million per year.
Despite the attractive Saudi offers, sources indicate Salah is focused on competing at the highest level in Europe for the foreseeable future.
