Messi leveled the score eight minutes later, reigniting his side’s hopes.
With the match poised at 2-2, Venezuelan midfielder Telasco Segovia fired Miami ahead in the 85th minute.
Messi then sealed the victory in stoppage time, curling a precise free-kick into the net in the 90th minute to complete his brace and cap a dramatic turnaround.
