Ministers of Immigration, Tourism &Antiquities Discuss Programs Prepared for Egyptians Abroad

Ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel-Shaheed, Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs (SEEEA) received Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism &Antiquities, to discuss joint cooperation between the two ministries to provide tourism services to the Egyptians abroad.

The meeting discussed mechanisms to benefit from the various programs and activities offered by the Ministry of Tourism &Antiquities, and to prepare special programs for Egyptians abroad to visit tourist and archaeological sites and museums in Egypt.

Minister Nabila Makram started the meeting by welcoming Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, thanking him for the fruitful cooperation between the two ministries in implementing programs for young Egyptians abroad, children of the second and third generations, and for young students studying abroad, and organizing field visits to tourist places in Egypt.

She added that within the framework of the National Strategy for Young Egyptians Abroad and the Ministry of Immigration Center for Dialogue for Young Learners Abroad, the programs of the Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities will be announced through the Center to motivate young people studying abroad, the youth of the second and third generations, and Egyptians abroad in general, to participate in these programs that will be announced by her.

Ambassador Nabila Makram indicated that such visits help Egyptians abroad to get to know their motherland, and provide them with all the information about what is really happening on the land of Egypt, including what is happening in economic development, development in the tourism and antiquities sector and impressive new discoveries, to be an impenetrable wall against what It is being promoted against the Egyptian state abroad.

And therefore the ministry has worked to organize programs of visits to archaeological and tourist sites and national projects for young Egyptians abroad and young students studying abroad, to form an Egyptian lobby to defend the Egyptian state against what is propagated against it.

For his part, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani expressed his welcome and full readiness to cooperate with Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration, and to prepare special programs for Egyptians abroad.

He indicated that Egyptians abroad are the soft powers that we must benefit from in promoting Egyptian tourism and tourist destinations in Egypt.

The Minister of Tourism & Antiquities affirmed that the visits of young Egyptians abroad from the second and third generations, which have been cooperated with the Ministry of Immigration in organizing them, make them feel proud of their country and the greatness of its history, as well as the great development that is taking place in the tourism sector, antiquities and new discoveries that add dazzle and pride in the Egyptian civilization.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to prepare educational, entertainment and introductory programs on tourism and archaeological sites and museums in various governorates, especially for Egyptians abroad of various generations, and to invest Egyptians abroad to promote Egyptian tourism destinations, as well as to participate in promotional events and campaigns for Egyptian tourism abroad, as well as major tourism events.
