The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation in its new formation held a meeting headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation, and in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, at the Federation's headquarters.
Dr. Ayman Ashour praised the efforts of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi in supporting the activities of the Federation, and sports activities in universities.
The Federation approved the summer activities plan 2024, which includes events in various sports, with the participation of Egyptian universities and institutes, and the plan also includes the establishment of a number of training camps for university teams, in preparation for participating in local and international tournaments, and the Council also decided to use a number of sponsors at the sports level and media.
The federation approved the participation of the American University in Cairo (AUC) delegation in the African Universities Basketball Championship 3x3 in Uganda from July 26-30.
The Council also approved the participation of the delegation of the Egyptian universities team in a number of tournaments, including:
• The third Arab University Games will be held in Morocco from 23-27 October.
• World University Squash Championship 2024 from 2-8 September, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
• World University Modern Pentathlon Championships 2024 from 21-25 August, in Kaunas, Lithuania.
