CAIRO, JULY 1 (SEE) Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem inaugurated on Saturday the cultural center of Tanta governorate.
Abdel-Dayem said that, after eight years and with the coast of EGP 50 million, we are opening the cultural center on the day of 30th of June celebrations. She added that the center is a real addition to the cultural environment in Egypt, which reflects the new strategy adopted by the ministry in presenting a good cultural and artistic product that raises the citizen's awareness.
She also stressed that the Cultural Center will organize a number of artistic and cultural activities under a specific annual program. The center is a landmark in the history that coincides with the awareness of the state to establish creativity and discover new talents.
It is worth mentioning that the cultural center was built on an area of 1500 square meters and can accommodate 450 spectators in three levels. It is one of the largest and most important theaters, it had contributed to enriching the artistic movement in the city for more than half a century and the main objective of its creation was being a major center for the dissemination of culture opened by Mustafa Pasha Al-Nahas, former Prime Minister of Egypt in 1939. The center's theatre starred on its stage famous public figures like leader Gamal Abdel Nasser in the sixties.
The center also hosted many concerts of Arabic music and folklore, it's building includes information technology halls, a hall for visitors, rooms for artists and training halls , equipped with the latest sound, light and modern lighting technology, which qualifies it to receive huge technical performances.
The most important feature of the center is the opening of eight rooms for Talent discovery and skills Development, starting from a children's coral, drawing, Ballet classes, and ending with classes for those with special abilities.
