Mimi Gamal, a veteran Egyptian actress and the widow of great actor Hassan Mostafa, announced Sunday that she quit acting.
In a phone-in with "Extra news" channel, Gamal stated that she lived for a long time with her husband, for more than 40 years as a couple at home, but outside it, each of them had a job.
The actress revealed that she was in a bad mental condition after her husband died, noting that she wasn't able to work for a year and a half until she was told that Ahmed Helmy wanted to star in the 2016 film "Laaf Wa Dawaraan".
Gamal added: "I worked a lot, I worked since I was 9 years old, and starred in many films when I was young. It is enough,".
The actress noted that she will spend time with her children, grandchildren, affirming that she had retired.
