Millions in Ukraine Affected by Power Outages

Millions of Ukrainians were left without electricity on Monday after large-scale power outages hit several regions across the country, following recent Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure over the weekend.

Ukraine’s national energy company, Ukrenergo, announced scheduled power cuts across multiple areas as part of emergency measures to stabilize the grid. The outages come after Russian forces targeted key power and heating facilities just weeks before the onset of winter, intensifying pressure on Ukraine’s already strained energy network.

According to Ukrainian authorities, repair teams, utility workers, and local officials are working around the clock to restore power supplies and repair damaged systems. In Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, metro services resumed on Monday morning after being suspended for two days due to the blackout.
