Netflix has released the official trailer for the Russo Brothers’ “The Electric State,” starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.
Set in an alternative America in the mid-1990s, “The Electric State” stars Brown as Michelle, a young girl traveling across the country in search of her missing brother in the wake of a civil war between humanity and the robots that once served them.
Pratt plays Keats, a smuggler she meets along the way.
The cast also includes Stanley Tucci as Ethan Skate; Giancarlo Esposito as Colonel Marshall Bradbury; Woody Norman as Michelle’s missing brother; and Ke Huy Quan as Dr. Amherst.
Anthony Mackie, Billy Bob Thornton, Woody Harrelson, Jenny Slate, Jason Alexander, Alan Tudyk and Brian Cox voice characters in the sci-fi adventure film.
Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film from a script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
“The Electric State” is based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Swedish atrtist Simon Stålenhag.
The Russos, best known for directing Marvel blockbusters “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” have been developing the project since 2017. They are producing along with AGBO co-founder Mike Larocca, and Chris Castaldi and Patrick Newall.
