On Tuesday, Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsy received Suh Wook, Minister of National Defense of South Korea, and Hong Jin-Wook, South Korean Ambassador to Egypt, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation in a number of areas of joint manufacturing.
The Minister of Military Production explained that this meeting comes out of the belief of both sides in the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership in various fields, which is of mutual benefit to both parties.
Earlier, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Wook and held bilateral talks with him. Sisi asked to convey his greetings to the South Korean President, Moon Jae-in, pointing to the Egyptian government and people’s pride in the close ties it has with South Korea.
During the meeting, Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness to enhance areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the military and defense fields, as well as looking forward to activating the comprehensive cooperative partnership.
The president affirmed that Egypt now enjoys a modern and integrated infrastructure system of facilities and services that provides a strong basis for establishing any development cooperation partnership.
