According to the report, Staveley is intensifying efforts to acquire a 25% stake in the London club with backing from Middle Eastern investors. The Sun noted that Tottenham’s valuation stands at £2.42 billion, and the club is open to welcoming new investors.
The deal could potentially reach £650 million for a 25% stake in the Spurs. Staveley, 51, previously bought shares in Newcastle United in 2021 but departed the Tyne and Wear club in July.
She has since assembled a new funding team and hopes to secure an initial stake in Tottenham, with plans to acquire additional shares in the London club over time.
The report also mentioned that ENIC Group, primarily owned by 87-year-old billionaire Joe Lewis and managed by Daniel Levy, might be receptive to selling. Tottenham’s valuation is approximately £2.42 billion, according to global media company Forbes.
Tottenham is open to investment, and Staveley would not need to divest her shares in Newcastle first, as her holdings at St James' Park are below the 9.9% maximum limit for owning stakes in two clubs.
