Middle East Turmoil: The Outcome of Eight Decades of U.S. Dominance?

Recently, a grave armed conflict broke out in the Middle East. According to Yang Myong Song, Secretary General of the Korea-Arab Association, this is an inevitable result of the nearly 80-year-long U.S. strategy for dominance in the region.

However, the U.S., turning black into white, is disguising Israel as a “victim”, disregarding what causes and motivates the Middle East situation this time.

Also, not content with the massive delivery of war supplies into Israel, it has even stationed an aircraft carrier strike group in the territorial waters in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, instigating Israel’s massacre of the Palestinians.

Such wicked behavior of the U.S. clearly proves once again that what it claimed to be an “impartial mediator” in resolving the Palestinian problem is no more than a trick to deceive the international community.

Despite the painstaking efforts by the international society, the Palestine-Israel peace process has almost come to naught and the vicious circle of armed conflicts never ends. This entirely lies in the extremely one-sided policy of the U.S. which is giving a tacit approval of Israel and helping it in its unlawful attempt to expand territories.

The U.S. strategy is to put the Middle East, the world’s biggest energy reserve and a military strategic point, under its full control by using Israel as its shock brigade and puppet. Today’s reality clearly shows what a tragic result such a U.S. strategy has brought about.

The broad spectrum of the international society, as well as Arab countries, are now strongly blaming the U.S. for patronizing and backing Israel, which is branding the Palestinian people’s righteous struggle to regain their legitimate rights as an “act of terrorism”.

The US-assisted missile defense system “Iron Dome” of Israel became useless against the rocket attack of the Palestine resistance forces. And the Mossad, said to be hand-raised by the U.S., had never predicted the surprise attack launched this time. This gave rise to the increased voice of lamentation and mockery even in the U.S. All this brings into bold relief the U.S. defeat.

The U.S. is making a great fuss, being hell-bent on military aid to Israel and dispatching an aircraft carrier strike group. This only proves that the U.S. is in fear of the total collapse of the system of domination over the Middle East made at no small pains.

There is an ever-growing aspiration among humankind to put an end for good to domination, high-handedness, and arbitrariness and ensure peace and stability in the region and the rest of the world.

The trend of history aspiring after independence, equality, and justice can never be checked, no matter how desperate the U.S. is. The anachronistic strategy of the U.S. for hegemony will face greater protest and denunciation with the passage of time.
