Former Zamalek head coach and current Uganda manager, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević, revealed that he previously had talks with concerned officials to take charge of Al Ahly.
Micho took charge of Zamalek in 2019 and experienced a mixed bag of results as he did win the Egyptian Cup against Pyramids; however, the following season he was sacked after a poor run of form.
Speaking to OnTime Sport, the 52-year-old said that he was proud of coaching the White Knights but he would have liked to coach Al Ahly.
“I’m proud of my experience with Zamalek, I still have a good relationship with the players, and I congratulate Patrice Carteron on winning the league title,” he said.
