Michelin-Star Chef Rubén Presents Unique Experience in Egypt

The Global and Spanish Chef Ruben Arnanz has just arrived Egypt to celebrate the World Tapas Day and present a first-of-its-kind food experience.

Tapas

“Tapas” are small samples or bite-size savory Spanish dishes that can be served as a snack or appetizer before the main meal.

The most interesting thing is the possibility of making one combo meal with the variety of tapas.

Tapas almost include all tasty ingredients starting from olive, cheese, eggs to meat and squid.

World Tapas Day is a yearly occasion set by Spain in The third Thursday of the month of June.

Tapas Sensation Events

In partnership with the Spanish embassy in Cairo, Tapas sensation is currently taking place till Friday at the Nile Ritz Carlton hotel.

Starting from today, Chef Arnanz will take guests on a wonderful journey of Spanish flavors.

Cooking Classes

On 18th and 19th of June, the chef will present 2 exclusive cooking classes to teach the guests the basic Spanish culinary arts followed by a delicious rooftop lunch.

On 21st of June, a renowned farm-to-table brunch will be served with a special Spanish corner and a live entertainment.

Arnanz Speaking to SEE

Arnanz told (SEE) that this is the second time to visit Egypt and expressed his happiness to share the Spanish culture with the Egyptian people.

He confirmed that sharing different food cultures has become an effective initiative, helping in promoting the relations among people.

The Spanish chef clarified that he’s going to cook Tapas using Egyptian ingredients

Cooking Passion

Arnanz studied finance and started to work as a waiter at age of 15 years old.

After that, he discovered his passion about cooking and started his journey by visiting more than 50 countries to get familiar with cooking secrets and create his own path.

“I can say that my success is mainly based on passion and joy I really feel while cooking,” he added.

Healthy Food

The Spanish chef always present healthy recipes as he believes that being honest and healthy are the most important principles of cooking.

Young Chef Owns Michelin star

It’s worth mentioning that Arnanz received his first Michelin star at the age of 29; to be one of the youngest chefs to receive this honor.

He mastered cooking in a number of leading restaurants around the world that enabled him to lead the culinary movement that actively promoted his region “Castilla” in the last couple of years.

Consultancy Service

He is also managing a consulting group to help those who wish to develop their culinary proposals worldwide.

First book

Arnanz published his first book entitled “Ancha es Castilla”, means new Castilian cuisine, which includes 120 recipes.
