Known for his fascination with ancient Egypt, Cinco embodied and employed similar sentiments in the collection. The Arab Fashion Week line skillfully paid homage to the ancient history of Egypt, from its rulers to its remnants, drawing on the historical and cultural legacy of Pharaonic art and embroidery.
Golden looks paired in black with lavish, intricate decoration were on show as models were also covered with gold henna on their faces in a nod to the ancient history and culture of the country. In the finale, Queen Nefertiti was once resurrected in a robe with a three-metre train covered in many beads.

Cinco expressed his happiness by presenting his designs for the first time in the country, having visited five times already.
In an interview with the “Cairo News” channel, the International fashion designer noted that El Alamein is wonderful and will be the future tourist destination.
He added that he has always been fascinated by the history of ancient Egypt, as most of his fashion collections are influenced by Egyptian history, such as art, gods, Egyptian symbols, and the hieroglyphic language.
Cinco revealed that designing a dress for his label could take up to three months as it depended on many details and more hand work.
The designer also previously said he was inspired by Egypt’s famous landmarks such as the Great Sphinx, the Pyramids of Giza as well as the Karnak Temple, and the Valley of the Kings tombs.
Cinco, who moved to Dubai from the Philippines in 1997, established his label in 2003. Inspired by the golden age of cinema and its glamorous stars, he has built a reputation for creating romantic evening gowns and bridalwear, full-skirted and covered in intricate embroidery. In 2012, he expanded the label to men’s couture.
His award-winning designs have been sported by celebrities worldwide, including the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Mariah Carey. His star-studded roster of clients further epitomises his acute focus on decadent embellishments and thoughtfully crafted silhouettes.
