At least 49 people, most of them migrants from Honduras, have died in a truck accident in the southern state of Chiapas, a Mexican emergency services official said Thursday.
Between 150 and 200 migrants were traveling in the trailer, Reuters quoted the official as saying that 37 other people were injured in the accident.

The trailer, which was said to be heading from Tuxtla Gutierrez to Chiapa de Corzo, hit a truck and overturned. The vehicle was reported to have hit a parapet wall as it exited a bend, its container detached and smashing onto the asphalt.
