After banning Parle app, people are now turning to an alternative, another free speech social medial platform called MeWe which used by 15 million people, according to Tech Times report. MeWe is an alternative social networking site that is currently experiencing a massive surge in new users as people look for new platofrms in order to avoid Twitter, Facebook and Instagram where most opinions are censored.

The new app labels itself as the next generation social network. It also centers its sales pitch to new users around data privacy and providing an ad-free experience. On other hand, MeWe is a company that is owned by Sgrouples, which was actually the same name of the platform when it was first launched. It was founded by internet entrepreneur Mark Weinstein.

Moreover, in 2019, Weinstein called himself as one of the guys who invented social media. He was in the industry pretty early on. In 1998, Weinstein created a very early social network type site called SuperGroups, which was eventually shut down by its investors in 2001.

In 2011, Weinstein started a new online business venture, and it eventually resulted in the launch of MeWe.

Later, Apple issued a warning to the ”Parler app” that it must implement a full moderation plan to its platform within the next 24 hours or be removed from the App store, unless the company changes its content moderation policies, according to Reuters.

Parler is a social network where many supporters of President Donald Trump have migrated after being banned from services such as Twitter Inc.
