Messi Returns to Inter Miami Training Sessions

Argentina and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi participated in the MLS side training sessions on Tuesday for the first time since his latest injury.

The team players were getting ready for their game against Monterey in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Lionel Messi was ruled out from the lineup of Argentina's next friendlies against El Salvador, and Costa Rica in the upcoming international break due to injury, the Argentine Football Association announced on Monday.

The Argentinian football governing body said that Messi sustained a right hamstring injury.

Messi was substituted early in the second half of Inter Miami's game against Nashville in the Concacaf Champions Cup due to injury and missed Saturday's league game.

Inter Miami Coach Gerardo Martino said that Messi's condition will be evaluated "week by week."

Previously, Messi headed Argentina's squad for the international friendlies against El Salvador in Philadelphia, and Costa Rica in Los Angeles, before the latest update of AFA

ESPN Argentina reported that Messi could attend the camp and the training sessions of the national team to conduct part of his recovery program.
