Argentine superstar Lionel Messi guided Inter Miami to their first-ever Major League Soccer (MLS) championship following a 3–1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps in the league final held on Saturday evening.

Inter Miami took an early lead in the first half after an own goal from the Vancouver defense.

The Canadian side later equalized through Ali Ahmed in the 60th minute.

Just moments later, Vancouver nearly completed a dramatic comeback when Emmanuel Sabbi’s strike hit both posts before being cleared by Miami’s defenders.

The match reached its peak of excitement when Messi delivered a magical through ball to Rodrigo De Paul, who found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

De Paul calmly slotted the ball into the net in the 71st minute to restore Miami’s lead.

In stoppage time, Tadeo Allende sealed the victory with a third goal, securing a historic 3–1 win for Inter Miami and confirming their first MLS championship title since the club’s inception.

Messi played a pivotal role in the triumph, providing two assists and continuing to write golden chapters in his illustrious career while leading Inter Miami to their maiden league crown.
