On Tuesday, the legendary Lionel Messi was featured in presenting Inter Miami’s third kit for the new season.
The kit is a vivid aqua-blue, with white and orange detail on the collar and sleeves. Those colours represent the original and traditional colors of the Miami Dolphins home kits, in a tribute to the city’s key NFL team.
In the official announcement on the MLS website, the league’s marketing body is keen to reference the city’s style and ‘Miami Vice’ aesthetic.
The website said: “Tapping into 1980s nostalgia, Inter Miami’s archive kit leans heavily on the vibrancy of vintage Miami style."
