Lionel Messi reportedly advised Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe to find a new challenge.
According to the Spanish Defensa Central, Messi tried to convince Mbappe to leave PSG and search for another bigger challenge.
The Spanish outlet said that Messi told Mbappe: “I prefer that you go to Barca. But if you want to go to Madrid, do it, you deserve a real winning project.”
Earlier, Mbappe expressed that he will stay at Paris Saint Germain for one more season, but he won't sign any contract extensions after 2024.
The 24-year-old player told AFP that he decided not to activate an option to extend his contract, for an extra year "and the only aim of the letter was to confirm what had already been spoken about previously."
