Egyptian actress, Menna Shalaby is set to star alongside her longtime collaborator, Ahmed Ezz in a new film.
The project is titled "Ferqat Al Mawt" (Death Squad) and marks the fourth collaboration between Shalaby and Ezz. They previously collaborated on films "Shabab Take Away" (2004), "Badal Faqed" (2009), and "Al Gareema" (2022).
"Ferqat Al Mawt" takes place in the forties and early fifties, when Upper Egypt's most infamous criminal Khot El-Saied lived.
It is scripted by Salah El Gehiny, directed by Ahmed Alaa El-Deeb, and produced by Sea Cinema Productions.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in October.
On the other hand, Shalaby is preparing for a new TV series, which she plans to participate in during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
While the details for the upcoming series are being kept under wraps, it is slated to be produced by Lebanese producer Sadiq Al-Sabbah.
Shalaby participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Taaghere Gaw".
