The "Transformers" actress Megan Fox and her husband actor/producer Brian Austin Green have split up after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Green confirmed has broken out his silence addressed during Monday's episode of his "…With Brian Austin Green" podcast the photos of the actress hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) that surfaced last week.
He confirmed that and Fox had split up, however, he affirmed that he does not eliminate reconciliation with the "Transformers" actress, pointing out that Fox and MGK just remain "good friends at this point."
During the podcast, Green stated that their decision to separate had nothing to do with anyone "cheating".
The couple shares three sons, Journey River, 3, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Noah Shannon, 7. Green is also a father to son Kassius, 17, from a previous relationship with Vanessa Marci.
They met for the first time on the set of TV series "Hope & Faith" in 2004 when the actress was 18 and Green was 30, the two felt an immediate attraction to one another.
“I liked him right away. Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction. It was like magic.” Fox said in a press statement.
In 2006, the couple got engaged after dating for about two years, however, they broke it off in 2009. They got engaged once again over a year later and got married soon after in 2010.
After welcoming their eldest sons, Fox was first spotted without her wedding ring in 2014 and filed for porce the following year, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple announced that they were having a third child together after a few months into the separation— and they reconciled the following year.
Brian Austin Green opens up about the split
Green kicked off the episode with revealing that he started to feel distant from Fox at the end of 2019 when she left the country to shoot her new movie "Midnight in the Switchgrass" starring MGK.
However, he affirmed that things did not change when Fox returned home from the shooting.
Green revealed that he gave the actress a few weeks to recoup a little bit and get back into life, before having a heart-to-heart discussion about their marriage.
"I realized when I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience and I think that might be something worth trying for me,'" he recounted what Fox told him during the conversation.
Green continued: "I was shocked and I was upset about it but I can not be upset at her because she did not ask to feel that way. It was not a choice she made, that is the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit… and so we did."
“We have had an amazing relationship and I will always love her and I know she will always love me," he added.
He pointed out that after watching others around them go through porces and things turned bitter between them, they knew they wanted to take a different approach.
Green pointed out that"As far as a family, what we have built is really cool and it is really special. So we decided to make sure that we do not lose,"
He pointed out their keenness to stick with each other and to make sure that they will always be friends with each other and keep a united front with the kids.
Green also addressed Fox's relationship with Machine Gun Kelly (né Richard Colson Baker), whom she met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass.
"I have never met him, but Megan and I talked about him and they are friends at this point. And from what she's expressed, he's a really just nice, genuine guy. I trust her judgment. She's always had really good judgment," he said.
