“The Rumble in the Jungle“ is the slogan raised by German-Egyptian lawyer Amira Mohamed Ali, who has recently won the presidency of the parliamentary bloc of the new Left-wing party in Germany before completing her fortieth year, to be the first Egyptian to take over this position.
“The Rumble in the Jungle” was a historic boxing event in Congo on October 30, 1974, between the undefeated world heavyweight champion George Foreman against challenger Muhammad Ali Clay, the former heavyweight champion. In this match, Clay won by a final knockout.

Ali considers that one of her most important tasks in the parliament is to fight racism, especially adopted by MPs in the "Alternative to Germany" bloc.
She was born in Germany’s Hamburg in 1980. Her father is an Egyptian immigrant from Port-Said and her mother is German. She is based in Oldenburg, Lower Saxonia.
Ali started her work as an accredited lawyer since 2008. In 2017, she worked as a legal advisor and contract manager for automobile components supply companies.
In addition, she is a member of the International Metalworkers’ Federation (IMF) and the German Animal Welfare Association.
The German-Egyptian Lawyer's interest in politics appeared recently, specifically in 2015 when she joined the German left-wing party in the city of Aldenburg, Lower Saxony.
Her first electoral experience was in 2016, during the local elections for Oldenburg District. Within the German parliament, she was elected to the membership of the legal Affairs and consumer protection committee and the food and agriculture committee.
Amira's interests focused on research in consumer protection and animal welfare, and she also served as the spokesperson for her bloc in this field.

Ali, 39, will replace Sara Wagenknecht, the former German leader of the left-wing party.
She believes that the left-wing bloc is the only party qualified to raise the social issues in Germany, stressing that everyone should be able to feed themselves and their families as well.
This can only be done with fair wages, high pensions and social benefits that exceed the minimum standard of living, according to Ali.
