McDonald's Egypt has clearly refuted recent allegations that it plans to leave the Egyptian market that have been making the rounds on social media.

The business affirmed that it would keep operating in the lucrative Egyptian market.

In a statement on Thursday, Yassin Mansour, the head of the Manfoods business that manages the McDonald's brand in Egypt, reaffirmed this.

The company continues to invest heavily in Egypt and conducts its business through more than 170 locations located throughout all of Egypt's governorates.

According to the statement, McDonald's helps create more than 8,000 direct jobs and close to 25,000 indirect jobs throughout Egypt.

According to the statement, the business is also dedicated to giving all of its patrons the greatest fast food service possible in a way that will satisfy them and strengthen its standing and continuity in the Egyptian market.

The rumours that Manfoods was currently experiencing a problem were reported on the Cairo 24 website.

Although new locations are popping up, the company's website states that they may be required to revoke their permission to use the McDonald's brand.
