Kylian Mbappé has recovered from a left knee sprain and returned to full training with Real Madrid, boosting the Spanish club ahead of their second-leg clash against Manchester City in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Images and videos released by Real Madrid showed the French forward participating normally in the team’s training session without any signs of discomfort, raising expectations that he will be included in the matchday squad.

However, he may only feature for limited minutes given Real Madrid’s commanding 3–0 advantage from the first leg.

Head coach Álvaro Arbeloa confirmed during a press conference that Mbappé, who missed the match against SL Benfica on February 25, is ready to return to action.

The manager indicated the forward could receive some playing time in preparation for the upcoming league derby against Atlético Madrid on Sunday.

On the international stage, Mbappé is expected to be included in the upcoming squad of France national football team, which will be announced on March 19.

The national team will hold a training camp from March 23 to 30 featuring two international friendlies against Brazil national football team and Colombia national football team in the United States as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Mbappé has been in exceptional form this season, leading Real Madrid’s scoring charts with 38 goals in 33 appearances.

After more than a month on the sidelines, the star striker now looks set to return to competitive action as both club and country prepare for a crucial stage of the season.
