On Friday, Egypt's Tennis star Mayar Sherif advanced to the Round of 32 of Madrid Tennis Open.
Sherif defeated No. 72 seed the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk 2-0 to advance to the third round.
The Egyptian star will have a very competitive game in the next round, Sunday, against the No. 4 seed the Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina.
Rybakina has won seven career singles titles, and finished runner-up in eleven more finals. She achieved her biggest result at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, where she won the women's singles trophy, becoming the first Kazakhstani player to win a Grand Slam tournament.
In the same context, the Tunisian Ons Jabur, world's No.9 seed, will face No. 35 seed Leylah Annie Fernandez in the round of 32 of the tournament, today.
