Mayar Sherif Advance to Catalonia Open Tournament Final

Egypt's Tennis star Mayar Sherif advanced to the final of Catalonia Open tournament , on Saturday, after defeating Guiomar Maristany 6-2, 6-3.

Sherif will face Kateřina Siniaková in the final of the tournament, tomorrow.

Egypt's Tennis star was eliminated from the Madrid Tennis Open last week after being defeated by world's No. 4 seed the Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina in the round of 32 of the Madrid Tennis Open tournament.

Sherif defeated No. 72 seed the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk 2-0 to advance to the third round.

Rybakina has won seven career singles titles, and finished runner-up in eleven more finals. She achieved her biggest result at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, where she won the women's singles trophy, becoming the first Kazakhstani player to win a Grand Slam tournament.
