Iranian local media reported, on Saturday, that a massive fire broke out in a metro station in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The Iranian authorities declared a state of high alert, while security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene.

A spokesman for the country's emergency services announced that fire had erupted at the Ekbatan metro station in Tehran.
