French media reports have revealed that Habib Beye, head coach of Olympique de Marseille, was the victim of a burglary at his residence, according to La Dépêche du Midi.
The incident reportedly took place at around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, when one or two intruders gained access to the villa by climbing over the surrounding wall.
The suspects then broke a window to enter the property located in the Fouveau area.
According to the report, the burglars stole clothing and luxury accessories from the French brand Louis Vuitton.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after and collected fingerprints as part of an ongoing investigation.
Habib Beye, 48, has not publicly commented on the incident. Authorities continue their efforts to identify the perpetrators and determine the full circumstances of the break-in.
Olympique de Marseille currently sit fourth in the Ligue 1 standings with 49 points as they continue their domestic campaign.
