Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have confirmed that they are planning on bringing Omar Marmoush back after his loan spell with VfB Stuttgart.

Three weeks into the current season, Marmoush was sent on loan by Wolfsburg to Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has since enjoyed what has arguably been his best campaign at the top level. Marmoush started most of his 17 appearances so far this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists along the way.

Wolfsburg’s managing sports director Jörg Schmadtke spoke to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung about the player’s situation and what they intend to do with him after his loan spell with Stuttgart.

“He’s coming back to us,” Schmadtke said.

“He has improved a lot. You can see the potential he has and he uses it more often now than he did with us.

“Marmoush now has Bundesliga experience under his belt and we have a completely different impression of the boy,” he added.
