The Cameroon's Ministry of Sports announced, Tuesday, the appointment of Marc Brys as the first football team coach.
The 61-year-old headed 15 clubs and national teams in his career, including Belgium, the Netherlands, and KSA.
His last coaching position was with Leuven.
Brys' assistant will be former Cameroon forward Francois Omam-Biyik.
Brys will take the position instead of Rigobert Song.
He takes over a team who were dumped out of the recent Africa Cup of Nations by Nigeria in the last 16.
Cameroon are currently top of Group D of African qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
