The Ministry of Youth and Sports is organizing a walking marathon in celebration of International Women's Day in 15 governorates.
10,000 girls and women will participate in the marathon tomorrow, March 8.
The marathon is held in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Beheira, Menoufia, Suez, Port Said, Matrouh, Ismailia, South Sinai, Qalyubia, Minya, Kafr El Sheikh, Sohag, Damietta.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports implements various projects and programs for Egyptian girls and women to comply with their requirements and needs.
Sports marathons are held periodically, in the governorates, to encourage sports practice and make it a way of life, at the level of health status and proper physical upbringing of the individual.
International Women's Day is a global celebration, on March 8 of each year, held to signify public respect and appreciation of women for their achievements in building society
