On Monday, Premier League side Manchester United announced the sacking of their coach Erik ten Hag after spending more than 2 years at Old Trafford.
Erik was appointed in April 2022 and helped the team to win two domestic titles: 2023 Carabao Cup and 2024 FA Cup.
Manchester United said in an official statement: "We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited."
The sacking of ten Hag came after the Red Devils lost their game to West Ham, on Sunday.
This defeat was described as a continuation of one of Man United's worst starts to a Premier League season which caused huge anger and rage among the legendary club's fans.
The Reds have only one victory from their last five matches. They are now in the 14th place in the table, just seven points from the relegation zone.
The team scored only eight goals in nine league games.
