Manchester City secured a place in the FA Cup final after defeating Southampton 2-1 at Wembley Stadium in their semifinal clash on Sunday.
The victory marks a historic achievement for the club, which has now reached the final of the competition for four consecutive seasons.
The English champions continue to demonstrate their domestic strength, despite losing last year’s final to Crystal Palace.
This latest result keeps their hopes alive for another major trophy as they move one step closer to lifting the FA Cup.
City’s progress also boosts their chances of completing a domestic treble this season. After winning the EFL Cup against Arsenal at Wembley last month, the team is now aiming to add both the Premier League title and the FA Cup under manager Pep Guardiola.
Meanwhile, attention has also turned to Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, who is part of the City squad.
British media reports indicate that Aston Villa are interested in signing the player during the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to The Times, the club remains keen on securing his services due to his attacking abilities.
The report noted that Aston Villa had previously attempted to sign Marmoush on loan during the winter transfer window, but negotiations were unsuccessful.
Marmoush joined Manchester City last winter from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal valued at around 75 million euros.
