Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana is edging closer to a move away from Manchester United during the ongoing 2025/26 season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on his official account on X, Saturday, that Trabzonspor have reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign Onana on loan. Romano added that the final decision now rests with the player himself, noting: “It’s only up to Onana.”
With the summer transfer window closed across most European leagues since September 1, Onana’s chances of featuring again for United this season look slim.
However, a move remains possible in countries where the market is still open, most notably Turkey, where the window runs until September 12, and Saudi Arabia, where it extends until September 23.
These two destinations are now the most realistic options for the United goalkeeper’s future.
